Lily Grundy joins Olliers Solicitors

Written 1st September 2019 by Ruth Peters

Olliers are delighted to announce the arrival of our new trainee solicitor Lily Grundy.

Lily joins the firm today (Monday 2nd September 2019). Lily previously trained at the English National Ballet School before completing a degree at the University Of Middlesex. She then undertook a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and her Legal Practice Course (LPC). Lily undertook voluntary work with Greater Manchester Law Centre before joining the firm.

Lily completed an internship with the firm as part our of Summer 2018 programme. Olliers run an annual internship scheme with the 2019 cohort having just concluded. The scheme offers week long internships at our Manchester city centre office to graduates and undergraduates who are interested in a career in criminal defence work. The aim is that future trainee solicitors will be recruited from those that have undertaken internships with us.

Matthew Claughton, Managing Director:

“I am delighted to welcome Lily to Olliers. It is crucial that we continue to recruit new entrants to the profession. Lily impressed us all with both her aptitude and attitude during her internship and we have high hopes for her. Watch this space!”
