Olliers Solicitors are delighted to announce the launch of our fantastic new website.

New Website

Following advice from our Digital Consultant we made the decision to migrate our existing website from Drupal to WordPress CMS. Whilst the new website does not look that different from our previous site, the functionality of the new site has increased significantly and will allow us a greater degree of flexibility in the way we manage our website.

What is HTTPS?

Whilst creating the new site we also took the opportunity to move to a secure site with HTTPS. The ‘S’ at the end of HTTPS stands for ‘Secure’. It means all communications between your browser and the website are encrypted. HTTPS is often used to protect online transactions such as online banking and online shopping. Web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome also display a padlock icon in the address bar to visually indicate that a HTTPS connection is in effect.

Digitalisation

The moves comes amongst a host of measures put in place over the last few months as we have moved towards digital working culminating in a fully digital environment. Olliers moved to the Cloud in 2015 to enable speedier and more reliable access to IT systems. In July 2016 Olliers fully turned paper free and all staff in our Magistrates’ Court department have iPads and fee earners in other departments have either laptops, iPads, Macbooks or other electronic devices which are most suitable for their individual requirements. All fee earners are able to access our systems from their electronic devices at court or at home.

Olliers Solicitors is a specialist criminal defence law firm based in Manchester with facilities in Mayfair, London. Our client base is nationwide. We have four Directors and eighteen Solicitors based in our Manchester office along with a number of other fee earners. We have specialist departments dealing with Fraud, Serious Crime, Sexual Offences, Asset Recovery, Professional Disciplinary matters, Motor Offences, Prison Law and Inquests.
