Some exciting news to start the year – Olliers has been shortlisted for the prestigious LexisNexis Legal Awards 2026 in the Wellness category.
The awards were launched in 2013 to recognise and celebrate excellence and innovation across the legal sector. They have attracted an increasing number of high calibre entrants each year and, as a national award, the event celebrates the industry’s leading talent from across the UK.
Ruth Peters, Business Development Director, commented:
“We are delighted to be listed as a finalist in the wellness category. The judges include some of the sector’s most influential individuals and competition is tight. It’s fantastic to be recognised for our wellness efforts with this shortlisting. Congratulations to the other finalists and we can’t wait for the awards!”
Winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony taking place on Thursday 16 April 2026 at the Park Plaza Riverbank, London.
Current wellness initiatives
Wellbeing is embedded into our core business strategy for 2026. Current initiatives include:
- The Olliers Wellness Committee: An in-house group that leads on social responsibility and internal support
- Proactive Workload Management: Moving away from the “billable hour at all costs” mentality to ensure sustainable high performance
- A Culture of Psychological Safety: Encouraging junior lawyers (the group found by LawCare to be at the highest risk of burnout) to raise concerns without fear of career repercussions
The 2026 Wellbeing Programme was revealed in January. It includes yoga classes, hiking, craft activities, axe-throwing and days out to events such as the Man United v Man City women’s Football Derby and a visit to the Banksy exhibition at Mayfield Depot.
Ruth added:
“Investing in our lawyers’ mental wellbeing isn’t just nice to do, it is the only way to ensure long-term sustainability.”
