Olliers Solicitors are delighted to announce we have been shortlisted in the Crime Team of the Year category at the Manchester Legal Awards 2018. In addition Alex Preston, criminal defence and inquest solicitor, has been shortlisted in the Solicitor of the Year category.

The shortlisting comes after we won the Crime Team of the Year at last year’s Manchester Legal Awards retaining the title from 2016.
Olliers also retained its top tier status in the 2017 edition of the Legal 500 for both crime and fraud and was additionally ranked as a top tier firm by Chambers Directory 2018.
Alex Preston – Shortlisted Solicitor of the Year 2018
We are also delighted to announce that Alex Preston has been shortlisted in the Solicitor of the Year category. Alex specialises in serious crime and inquests and has represented clients facing the most serious charges including murder, drugs and firearms importations, historic sexual offences and manslaughter by gross negligence. Many of these cases have been very high profile.
Alex is listed as a ‘Next Generation Lawyer’ in the 2017 edition of the Legal 500. The editorial states “the ‘clever, tough but sensible’ Alex Preston is representing a high-profile politician being investigated by the police in respect of historical rape allegations. Preston is a ‘defender through and through’ and provides a ‘private client’ quality of service even in publicly funded cases.”
