Matthew Claughton shortlisted for Modern Law Awards 2015 Lawyer of the Year.

Olliers are delighted to announce that Managing Director, Matthew Claughton, has been shortlisted for the award of Lawyer of the Year at the Modern Law Awards 2015.

The awards recognise innovation and entrepreneurship as well as best practice and excellence. As well as being ranked as a top tier individual by the 2015 editions of both the Legal 500 and Chambers Directory, Matthew is the Manchester Legal Awards Partner of the Year 2015 and is shortlisted for Solicitor of the Year at the Law Society Excellence Awards 2015.

Matthew Claughton – Criminal Defence Solicitor

Matthew specialises in defending allegations of sexual offences, fraud and serious crime. He is regularly instructed by professionals and in the last twelve months has acted for two solicitors facing serious fraud allegations, a music professor facing historic rape allegations, the former Managing Director of Leeds United Football Club, two prison governors and a number of detention officers following a death in custody. Matthew is known for his proactive approach in dealing with cases at the investigation stage particularly in relation to sexual offences.
