“Mr Raja is currently on remand for murder and attempted murder, being held at HMP Preston. He wishes to state that he has had no involvement in the allegations he faces. Once he was informed that a relative’s property was being searched, he contacted a firm of solicitors to arrange to speak to the Police on a voluntary basis. Subsequent to being detained for this allegation he has provided an account to the Police to assist them in their investigation and show he wasn’t involved. We ask that the Police thoroughly investigate any lead that he has provided.”
