Welcome to the Backroom. Olliers recognise a team is only as good as its support and this section is central to that ethos.
These pages are intended to be used by everyone at Olliers whether based in the Manchester office or working elsewhere on a more flexible and remote basis. They contain a combination of requirements, best practice and hints.
We anticipate that they will evolve and content will be frequently updated. Contributions are welcome and we are always open to ideas.
We intend to combine a mixture of text, screen shots and video content.
This is not a definitive resource rather it complements existing practices and enables a self sufficient approach. The pages are not intended to replace your Induction or the huge amount of resources on our IT network. They may be of greater assistance to those working remotely but are intended for everyone at the firm. Please remember that if you don’t get the support that you want from these pages you can always contact colleagues in the Manchester office and in due course we will probably identify “super users” who can be contacted in the first instance.
Whilst we encourage independence no-one should feel isolated. This section gives you details of your support team, contact details, availability and maybe even a photograph! Remember they are there to help you and you should be able to get help from any of them in relation to any matter.
The materials in this section should allow you to log on the system, customise your Home Page, create a client and thereafter a matter, mark matters as “favourites” , view Accounts ledgers and produce letters and documentation. Good luck.
Here we explain the procedures for form completion, electronic signing of documents, communicating electronically with clients, file ownership and ensuring a fully compliant paperless file is up and running on our system within 24hrs of an attendance.
Again an explanation of procedures for Magistrates Court cases ensuring compliant paperless files that can be accessed by all.
As above, simple procedures to ensure compliance on files now on the Digital Case System.
