TIM MCARDLE

Tim joined the practice in 2005, gaining experience in the Crown Court and Prison Law department before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2008.

 

Since qualification, Tim now practices almost exclusively as a Magistrate’s Court Advocate. He regularly defends suspects accused of violence, dishonesty, disorder and drugs offences and has begun to enjoy a fast-growing reputation for securing acquittals against the odds.

Notable cases:

R v A – acquittal of male accused of assaulting 3 x security guards.

R v K – acquittal of male accused of assaulting PC, witnessed by 4 police officers.

R v C – acquittal of middle-aged male of good character accused of assault

R v A – acquittal of male accused of Public Order offences and assault, witnessed by police officers.

R v D – acquittal of male accused of Harassment

R v H – acquittal of female accused of racially aggravated assault

R v S – acquittal of male accused of possession of a bladed article

Tiim often defends cases making full use of appropriate legal arguments, including Abuse of Process, Human Rights Legislation and a meticulous knowledge of the relevant legislation.
