Receivership - Jeremy Pinson’s Team is currently involved in advising clients that are subject to management receivership, often appointed in conjunction with large scale fraud investigations. We are experienced in advising clients in the High Court and Court of Appeal with a House of Lords case concluded in 2007. We acted in the Court of Appeal case which led to the Capewell Guidelines which are to be implemented by Receivers in future High Court cases relating directly to effective control and remuneration of Receivers.
Restraint - Experienced in advising clients subject to Restraint Orders, often imposed as a consequence of large scale enquiries. In depth knowledge of the workings of Restraint Orders, defending Breach Applications and variations of such Orders.
Confiscation - We are currently involved in some of the largest confiscation cases in the country. We frequently accept instructions from clients post conviction, often with the approval of their existing legal team. Jeremy Pinson's team is currently involved in a number of high profile confiscations and in early 2009 concluded the largest one which had involved a benefit of just under £200 million. Jeremy is involved in various connected High Court proceedings relating to the recovery of realisable assets. The team is also instructed to defend various SOCA civil recovery claims in the High Court.
