Asset Recovery

With a government target to recover £250 million in criminal proceeds per year under the Home Office Asset Recovery Plan, Civil Recovery is now central to the recovery of proceeds of crime.

The SFO and the CPS have now joined SOCA as prosecuting authorities able to use Civil Recovery powers under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

The Asset Recovery team, led by Jermy Pinson has had Court of Appeal success in relation to the role of Management Receivers (Capewell) and  it has dealt with one of the largest ever confiscation orders (with a benefit figure of £200 million).

We provide expert advice and representation in relation to restraint, receivership, confiscation and enforcement in both the civil and criminal courts.
