March 2009 - New addition to Olliers Motorlaw Motoring defence specialist Sarah Hamblett joins Olliers from Geoffrey Miller Solicitors June 2009. January 2009 - Chambers Guide to the legal profession 2009 recognises Olliers as one of the leading firms nationally - category Fraud:Criminal, and as a leading firm in the North West - category Crime. Matthew Claughton and Richard Holliday singled out for mention. December 2008 - Another Court of Appeal success Olliers successful in Court of Appeal as convictions in HMRC prosecution, Operation Emersed, are quashed. October 2008 - Success in Court of Appeal Solicitor Advocate Max Saffman appears in the Court of Appeal (AG ref case - 200804216A3 CN) successfully arguing the issue of undue leniency on sentence. September 2008 - Olliers ranked by Legal 500 on 10th September 2008. The Legal 500 published the 2008 Edition of its clients' guide to the UK legal profession ranking Olliers as one of the North West's leading criminal practices. April 2008 - Two new Partners and seven other lawyers join from JMW Solicitors. David Philpott and Max Saffman join the firm as Partners from major player JMW which serves to consolidate Olliers position as market leaders. March 2008 - Two more new qualifiers at Olliers.
